Course Structure
This course will lead you through a significant number of option strategies designed for income, volatility, and capital gains.  Each strategy introduced will be described in terms of payoff diagrams, risk exposures, and usage scenarios.  Several examples will also be introduced for each option strategy using market relevant examples.

Course Outline

Beginner Pre-Requisites

  • A series of 8 short videos based on John Hull’s “Options, Futures, and Other Derivatives”

It is assumed that subscribers will have some basic working knowledge of options.  Most subscribers to our site will be CFA candidates, both past and current, or University business school students/graduates. 
** If subscribers are completely new to options and have no previous financial market/security experience or education, nor are they currently a CFA candidate, it is encouraged that they first watch the Pre-Req videos listed above.

** Note
Examples for some strategies may be increased over time to take advantage of specific market conditions. 
For example, it is better to show volatility trades when actual volatility shows up. 

Dr. Meldrum may not have the volatility he wants when he is doing the volatility strategies, so this allows him some flexibility to add to some strategies as market conditions warrant.
